Following successful careers as musicians in other successful rock groups The Byrds, The Hollies, and Buffalo Springfield; The trio formed in 1968 releasing their self-titled debut album the following year. The album was an immediate success and has been certified four times Platinum. They then recruited Neil Young as a floating fourth member whose tenure with the band is sporadic. Crosby, Stills, and Nash toured to promote the disc and even performed at the now legendary Woodstock festival in 1969. They released their sophomore disc, Deja Vu, in 1970 and it was a meteoric success selling over seven million copies.
The state of the band was a bit precocious throughout the seventies, and after two brief break-ups, they reformed for good in 1977. Crosby, Stills, and Nash's legacy is unparalleled in the music industry and their status as activists maintains its hold in the memories of their baby boomer fan-base. While they have continued to work on side and solo projects; the magic that is Crosby, Stills, and Nash continues to awe and inspire their hoards of fans. Crosby, Stills, and Nash tour dates are currently scheduled throughout 2011.
